globetrotting
as c. heads for europe today, as d. sends me a postcard from australia (but is in LA now), and as sh prepares for his trip to japan, it is hard to avoid getting bitten by the travel bug. and let me tell you, this bite itches, swells, and burns. intensely.
perhaps school is wearing me down and i just need a break, a vacation. but seeing everyone depart this spring/summer, i feel the urge to take off too.
montreal next weekend, a few roadtrips in the works for july and august, and hopefully, nyc in september. but will that be enough? it feels like, if i want the bite to heal, i have to take a much more monumental trip somewhere. something that involves sitting in an airplane for hours, lipreading and interpreting hand gestures, and sleeping in parks.
where are you going this summer?

I already did some moving about. I went to Ontario. Went as far north as North Bay. Adventured about. Then came back to Newfoundland. Did the Gros Morne thing. Did the Bay of Islands thing. Now I'm likely going to do the hiking Corner Brook on foot thing.
Yup, I'm back. Ah yes, the travel bug has been satiated, but not for long! Bumped into Ruwan, an old highschool friend last night who said "So, any more trips to Italy this summer?". Harhar. Not this year, maybe next.
Glad to be home though- it's the little things like my morning cup of strong tea that I miss when I'm away. Aw.
Home at the House!
